• What is PubChemSR?
    • PubChemSR (Search andRetrieve) is a MS-Windows-based data search and retrieval tool for NCBI's chemical databases PubChem.
    • PubChemSR is written in MS Visual Basic .Net and implemented by using Entrez Eutilities via SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol).
    • It's tested only on Windows XP but it should work well on any other Windows platform with Microsoft .NET 2.0 installed.

    • Various searches against any of the three PubChem databases
      (PubChem Compound, PubChem Substance,and PubChem Bioassay)
      • Simple text search
      • Basic structure search
      • BatchSearch with multiple query
    • Data download
      • Bulk-download with selected data fields
      • BioAssay data retreiver - compounds/substances with bioactivity data
    • Data display/export
      • Export to MS Excel
      • Two display options (DocSummary and Tab-delimited)
    • Others
      • Spelling correction for mis-spelled search terms
      • Manual data field list update (PubChem occassionally changes availabe data fields)
      • Link to PubChem Web page for searched results
      • User-friendly GUI in Windows platform.
